Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-09

Welcome to Pivota's PowerPoint to HTML converter (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service at pptx2html.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Scope of these Terms

These Terms govern your use of pptx2html.com and any related interfaces operated by Pivota ("we", "us", "our").

2. Service Description

The Service converts PowerPoint (.pptx) files into HTML.

The Service is offered free of charge, without user account registration. File size is limited to 100 MB per file. We may apply per-IP rate limits to keep the Service available to all users.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload files that contain malicious code, illegal content, or material that infringes the rights of any third party.

You agree not to use the Service to produce or distribute content that violates applicable law, and not to engage in automated abuse, scraping, or rate-limit circumvention.

You agree not to use the Service to create, generate, or distribute material that impersonates a real person without their consent, including deepfake or face-swap material, or material designed to harass, defame, or defraud others.

4. User Content, License, and File Handling

You retain all rights in the content you upload. By uploading a file, you grant Pivota a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, time-limited license to copy, store temporarily, parse, render, and transmit back the converted HTML solely to perform your conversion request. The license terminates automatically when the file is deleted.

Files you upload are processed solely to perform the requested conversion. We do not retain copies for any purpose other than serving you the converted HTML.

Both uploaded files and converted output are automatically deleted from our storage within 24 hours after conversion.

We do not use your files for machine-learning training, behavioral analytics, or any third-party sharing.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its source code (excluding open-source components governed by their respective licenses), branding, and visual design — is owned by Pivota and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reverse-engineer, copy, redistribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our prior written consent.

6. Disclaimer and Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of conversion output, or fitness for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pivota and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Because the Service is provided free of charge, no monetary liability claims by users will be accepted.

However, nothing in this Section limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including (without limitation) liability arising from intentional misconduct or gross negligence under the Consumer Contract Act of Japan (消費者契約法) and equivalent consumer protection laws of other jurisdictions.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers including Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics 4 (analytics), Vercel (hosting and analytics), and Cloudflare R2 (object storage). Your use of the Service is also subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of those providers.

8. Modifications to these Terms; Changes to the Service

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be reflected on this page together with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part), or any feature thereof, at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate access, or remove uploads at our sole discretion, including (without limitation) where these Terms are violated or where doing so is necessary to protect the integrity of the Service.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Japan.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

Nothing in this Section shall deprive a consumer of the protection afforded to them by mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence (including, where applicable, mandatory consumer-protection rules under EU/EEA, UK, or other applicable law).

11. Contact
